    2. Screw Recommendation: We recommend using #8 screws at the appropriate length for securing the latch. The longer the screw (the thicker the door/drawer front), the stronger the latch will be.

    3. Lubrication: After installation, we recommend applying a quick spray of WD-40 or silicone lubricant into the top of the latch mechanism for smooth operation. If there is any friction when using the latch, adding additional lubricant will typically resolve this issue.

    4. Opening the Latch: When opening the latch, we recommend using your knuckles as a lever against the door/drawer frame to make the pulling motion easier.

    5. Adjusting Attachment Screws: If the latch isn’t releasing freely/easily, it may be because the attachment screws are too tight. Try backing these screws out slightly (1/4 turn at a time).

    6. Latch and Catch: Each door or drawer should have its own latch, and each latch needs its own catch/striker plate (included). For drawers, we recommend a rail for each drawer where the catch can be installed.

    7. Drilling for Catches: A 1-3/16″ Forstner bit is recommended for drilling out the openings for the catches. There is a hole in the center of the catch that you can use to mark the location of the center of your drill bit.

Great latches!

I used these and the larger 100mm latches in my camper conversion for kitchen cabinets and drawers and am very pleased with them. A couple of them needed a bit of dry lubricant to help them slide back and forth easier, but otherwise these have worked great for me.

Okay latches overall, but some issues

My partner and I have these latches installed in our Landcruiser kitchenette build. Overall we like them. They look nice and they mostly holding our drawers shut. However, we have several latches that don't function properly all the time. The plastic pop-up piece that holds the drawers shut gets stuck and won't move up and down easily which results in our drawers occasionally flying open while driving. Also, the metal pulls themselves are quite loose and can easily wiggle up and down which makes the pulls confusing and feel like a cheap product. Overall they don't seem worth the high price. We paid over $100 for our latches and probably could have found something better for less. Aesthetics: 10/10, Functionality: 5/10

I just wanted to follow up with you on your review of the RV Labs latches. We've found that a silicon spray will help with the latches sticking, this helps to lubricate the plastic. Also, check that the little screws on the back of the latch are nice and tight.

So easy to install

Hi guys,

Can't even tell you how often my cheap pushbutton locks failed on me... As you know I first bought one of yours to try out. Came back for 20 more. Quite the investment but then again good push button locks are not cheap either! In any case, the install is super easy and fast. So far they have held my drawers shut without failure. Best thing is: you don't have to remember pushing the buttons to lock them in place! You push the drawers in and they are locked. Super easy. Again thank you for bringing these to North America.
