The ACTIVE cartridge features a specially cleaned sintered core made of activated carbon, which efficiently reduces chlorine, chlorine by-products, organic pollutants, pharmaceutical residues, light hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, aromas, and fine particles like rust, limescale, and sand. It also neutralizes unpleasant tastes and odors, ensuring your water is fresh and pure.

Monoblock instead of loose activated carbon

Standard loose-fill activated carbon, commonly found in comparable water filters, does not offer sufficient protection against contaminants: In order to bind contaminants, the water needs direct contact with the filter medium. With loose-fill activated carbon, the water can find its way through the medium without touching the carbon – this portion passes through unfiltered.

Alb Filter therefore uses a pressed activated carbon monoblock with a fineness of 10 µm. Due to its high porosity, the water cannot pass through the filter without contact – thus reducing substances such as chlorine, heavy metals, drug residues, and hormones. Additionally, the fine channels retain solids such as microplastics, sand, and rust.
