ALB Filter Protect Pre-Filter – Aluminum

Add an extra layer of protection to your ALB Filter system with the ALB Filter Protect Pre-Filter.

Designed specifically for ALB Filter Element aluminum housings, the Protect uses a replaceable 40-micron PP filter pad to capture sand, sediment, rust and other larger particles before they reach your main filter cartridge.

By removing larger particles before they reach the primary cartridge, the Protect helps reduce premature clogging and can extend the service life of your main filter cartridge.

Ideal for campervans, RVs, overland vehicles and mobile water systems where water quality can vary from one fill-up to the next.

Designed for ALB Filter Aluminum Housings

This version is specifically for ALB Filter Element aluminum housings.

Your ALB Filter housing is an aluminum version if it has a silver, titanium or blue finish and a white ALB logo with internal threads on the filter body.

Important Compatibility Note

The ALB Filter Protect is available in two versions:

• Aluminum – for ALB Filter Element aluminum housings
• Stainless Steel – for ALB Filter Element stainless-steel housings

The two versions use different connection threads and are not interchangeable.

If your ALB housing has a black ALB logo and external threads, you need the stainless-steel Protect instead.

How It Works

The Protect is installed as the first stage in the direction of water flow, before your main ALB Filter cartridge.

Water passes through the 40-micron PP filter pad first. Larger particles such as sand, rust and sediment are captured by the pad before they reach your primary filtration cartridge.

Depending on your water source, the pad will gradually collect sediment. For heavier contamination, the pad can be removed and brushed clean. If water flow remains restricted after cleaning, replace the filter pad.

Installation

Installation takes only a few seconds:

1. Remove the top lid from your ALB Filter Element housing.
2. Screw the Protect module between the housing and lid.
3. Place the filter pad between the Protect module and sealing ring.
4. Reinstall the lid.
5. Connect your water system with the Protect positioned first in the direction of water flow.

The ALB Filter Protect is not a standalone water filter. It is an accessory designed to be used with an existing ALB Filter Element housing.
