Open Position: Shipping & Receiving Associate
On-Site | Esquimalt, BC (Canada)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $21–$24 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
Expedition Upfitter is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our operations team. This hands-on role is essential to keeping our warehouse and fulfillment processes running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for receiving and organizing inventory, preparing outgoing orders, and supporting daily operational tasks that help us deliver high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and accurately verify incoming shipments and materials

Prepare, package, and stage outgoing customer and wholesale orders

Process and document customer returns, including inspection and restocking

Test select equipment to ensure functionality before shipping or shelving

Complete assigned tasks from start to finish with attention to detail

Answer phones and direct customer inquiries to the appropriate team member

Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory control records

Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks

Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments as needed

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Qualifications
Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred

Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork
Nice to Have:

Experience posting or managing content on social media

Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce order management tools

Interest in the outdoors, camping, or overlanding

Comfort working in a fast-paced, seasonal, or product-driven workflow
